Stephen has worked as a Head Chef for many years in some of the best restaurants in the Leeds area.

Prior to him opening 114 The Arch he was Head Chef at the Tiberio Restaurant in Pudsey .

Amongst the many Professional Accolades Stephen has been awarded the most prestigious was when World Famous Chef Gordon Ramsey together with a panel of other top chefs voted him 'Booker Chef of the Year 2005'.

Stephen's Accolades to Date also include;

2004: Norwegian Seafood Challenge-Finalist (Jean Christophe Novelle offered me a trial at his award winning restaurant, however I didn't accept the offer due to family and work commitments) (Trade Media)

2004: National Turkey Chef of The Year - 2nd Place (Trade Media)

2005: Brake Brothers, Seafood Recipe Challenge - Finalist (Trade Media)

2005: Young Chef of The Year- Regional Finalist (Trade Media plus Leeds and Bradford Newspapers)

2005: Bookers Cash and Carry Chef of The Year - Winner (Judged by Gordon Ramsay, Marcus Warring of Petrus, Josh Emmett of The Savoy Grill) (Leeds and Bradford Newspapers, Trade Media and Local Radio Stations)

2006: Hotelympia for Steelite Plates - Passion to Inspire - Finalist (To compete at Hotelympia is a great honour as it is one of the biggest catering shows in the World and people travel from all over the World to compete, Anthony Warall Thomson made his name from competing at Hotelympia.

2006: Yorkshire Chef of the Year Finalist.

2008 Roux scholarship reginal finalist and Knorr chef of the year 2008 semi finalist.
